Six persons disguised as 'sadhus' held in Bihar's Nawada

Six men, clad in saffron clothes, masquerading as 'sadhus' (Hindu monks) were taken hostage by local villagers when they alighted from Gaya-Kiul passenger train at Chatar halt under Akbarpur police station in Nawada district on Monday afternoon.

NAWADA: Six men, clad in saffron clothes, masquerading as 'sadhus' (Hindu monks) were taken hostage by local villagers when they alighted from Gaya-Kiul passenger train at Chatar halt under Akbarpur police station in Nawada district on Monday afternoon.
Akbarpur SHO Nilesh Kumar on Tuesday said, "All the detained men have been forwarded to judicial custody for interrogation.

We are in touch with our Gonda counterpart to further ascertain their identity and profession."
He said in preliminary inquiry, it had been found that all of them are residents of Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh. The six men were identified as Amjad Khan, Nawab Ali, Subhan Ali, Mohammad Kalim, Ahmad Mian and Rashid.
